The Talent Under One Roof Music School is proud to announce the 1st G. Gershwin Brooklyn International Music Competition.
The mission of the G. Gershwin Brooklyn International Competition is to encourage and support excellence in the performance of classical music by showcasing the talents of young pianists on the threshold of their careers in a competition adjudicated by internationally acclaimed judges, and to offer additional performance opportunities.
The World's Best Young Artists will compete in 2 exciting rounds for the substantial prize fund.The prestigious juries is comprised of eight internationally acclaimed musicians from eight different countries.
- Arts Ambassadors The competitors are welcome to serve as Ambassadors to our local schools. Ambassadors perform at Brooklyn schools and talk with students about life in their home country. Huge Number of students in our area will benefit from and will be inspired by this wonderful outreach program. The competition also provides the opportunity for students from local schools to attend the competition, many of whom have never before been exposed to a live performance.
- Master ClassesSpecial events during the week, which are open to the public, include Master Classes given by several judges, and a special Lecture/Recital by the Piano Jury Chairman Michael Bulychev-Okser.
- OpportunitiesPrizes in each category include Best Interpretation awards, Study Scholarships at the Talent Under One Roof Music School, USA East Coast performance opportunities,Performance on the WQXR Classical Radio Station in New York, CD Recording on Sabella Label and other engagements.
